What staff rate
Five dimensions, one home.
Stapha's view
Verified — based on our interview with leadershipA small, honest home that punches above its size on wellbeing — the mental health first-aider count is unusually high for a home of 24 beds, four trained staff across the rota. Leadership is competent but stretched: the manager also covers a sister home two days a week, which staff feel. If that gets solved, this home has more in it.
One thing we're proud of
“We've got four mental health first-aiders on the rota. In a home of twenty-four beds that's a real number.”

Something small that changed everything…
We put a kettle and a proper armchair in the staff room. Sounds like nothing. It changed how breaks feel.

Small home, big heart. I know every resident and every family. Manager cares but is stretched — she's honest about it.

The mental health first-aider training was voluntary and free. I did it. Have used it more than once. Genuinely useful.

I like the home but promotions feel slow — I asked about senior training six months ago and it's still 'being planned'. If you want a career track this might not be it yet.
That's fair. Senior training is scheduled for January — you're on the list, I'll confirm the date this week.

Best small team I've been on. Nights are quiet, we look out for each other, breaks actually happen.

Warm welcome. The seafront walks with residents are the reason I get out of bed on a bad day.
