Stapha's view
Verified — based on our interview with leadershipA home in the middle of a genuine reset. Marsh House lost its long-standing deputy in early 2025 and it shows in the leadership scores. The new interim team is honest about it — the recovery plan is real, with weekly floor walks and an external coach until January. The staff who've stayed speak warmly of each other, which is the best signal that this is fixable, not broken.
One thing we're proud of
“We ran an all-staff listening week in July and published every finding on the noticeboard, unedited. Uncomfortable, necessary.”
— Marsh House
What we're rebuilding right now…
Trust in the senior team, honestly. We're doing weekly walk-and-talks with every carer for the next three months.

Tough year. But I've stayed because the carers here are the best I've worked with and the new interim team is genuinely trying. Ask me again in six months.
Senior Carer

Joined right when everything wobbled. Leadership has been thin — decisions take too long. But the coaching sessions the new manager brought in are helping the senior team pull together.
Thanks for saying so, and for staying. Decision-making cadence changes in October — you'll see fewer 'we'll get back to you' answers.

Night Carer

Nights have been the stable part of the home this year. Same team, same standards, quiet floor.

Warm welcome from carers. Induction was rushed — got my mandatory training done in two days when it should have been a week. Wouldn't recommend that.

This home has been through worse than this year. It comes back because the residents and the day staff love each other.
