What staff rate
Five dimensions, one home.
Stapha's view
Verified — based on our interview with leadershipCulture at Rosewood is the strongest we've measured in the county — and it's built on tiny, deliberate rituals. Every shift starts with a 90-second circle where the outgoing lead names one thing the incoming team should carry. Staff birthdays are celebrated by the residents, not the office. Development is solid without shouting about it — two carers on nurse conversion apprenticeships this year.
One thing we're proud of
“The 90-second circle at every handover. It's the smallest thing we do and the reason people say the home feels different.”

A resident who taught us something…
Bill, ex-jockey, taught the whole team that dignity means being asked which shirt you want to wear. Every morning. It stuck.

I've worked in five homes. This is the only one where I've cried on the last day of a holiday because I missed the residents.

The handover circle sounds cheesy on paper. In practice it's the thing that makes shifts feel connected. Newer staff pick it up in a week.

Two of our carers are on nurse conversions right now — the home covers their study days as paid. That's real investment.

The culture really is as good as everyone says. My honest three-star is about the physical building — the lift breaks down a lot and it makes upstairs shifts harder than they need to be.
You're right and the lift is on a full replacement in March. I know that's not soon enough — thanks for the patience.

Residents plan next week's menu with me on Fridays. That's not something I've been allowed to do in any other home.
